IoT Collaborative co-Academic Director Dr. Ken Loparo and Dr. Fanny Ye, both professors at Case Western Reserve University (CWRU) School of Engineering, partnered to create a tool called α-satellite, designed to provide real-time risk assessment of locations across the country to aid social distancing and reopening strategies amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
