Smart City Project Overview
Learning games: project will develop game prototypes as a tool for community engagement and consensus-building in the context of urban reforestation efforts in Cleveland, Ohio.
Organization's mission and/or purpose
Serving Northeast Ohio since 1983, Kent State University’s Cleveland Urban Design Collaborative is a nonprofit urban design practice committed to improving the quality of urban places through technical design assistance, research, education, and advocacy. Supported by the College of Architecture and Environmental Design at Kent State University, the CUDC offers planning and urban design expertise to public agencies and non-profit community development organizations. The CUDC offers expertise in master planning, commercial district revitalization, recreation planning, historic preservation, neighborhood redevelopment, and streetscape design. The CUDC develops information and public awareness about the physical environment and design and development issues through research, discussion forums, exhibitions, public debates and design workshops.
