Smart City Project Overview
The project will create mobile data hubs, collecting and sending information associated with the following:
- Assessment of rail ballast fouling
- Health monitoring of rail car wheels
- Assessing bus emissions
The additional systems must be capable of transmitting, archiving, and interpreting the data acquired in each of these assessment endeavors.
Organization's mission and/or purpose
The mission of the University Transportation Center (UTC) at CSU is to advance American technology and expertise through education, research, and technology transfer. The Center at CSU has a particular interest in work zone safety.
