Smart City Project Overview
Smart Parks utilize technology (digital and analog) to activate public spaces in non-traditional ways to increase community and economic development in neighborhoods. The first will be in Hough, in the Innovation District and along the E. 66th Street corridor currently being planned. The goal is to extend these nodes of activity north to Superior, and south on E. 79th to the Opportunity Corridor.
Organization's mission and/or purpose
The mission of Placemaker Design Group is to activate public spaces in non-traditional ways through a true community engagement process.

IMPACT STATEMENT
The hope is that Smart Parks allow for neighbor(hood)s to use their public spaces more and lead to a greater sense of community, safety, and happiness.
